As our wonderful season draws to an end, we want to say thank you to everyone who came and “adventured” with us. We are honoured to have made memories for over 4000 guests this season.

To all the Renters, thank you for allowing our equipment to check the box for “things needed” to make your adventure plans complete.

To all the Guests who joined us on tours, thank you for letting us share our beautiful location with you, tell you why we are so passionate about our local wildlife and provide you with education about how to assist us in protecting them.

To everyone else who walked through our doors, we are happy to have offered you with information and insight on how to plan your adventure on Salt Spring Island.

Thank YOU!!!

Chocolate Beach

Chocolate Beach located on Third Sister Island is one of the most popular destinations on our kayak tours. Chocolate beach gets its name from the chocolate lily that once grew there. The lily was used for food by the Salish people. The crushed white shells are also an important part of the islands history from when the area was used by Salish people’s as a gathering place to process shellfish. The shell-beach midden is more than two meters deep, and creates a white beacon in the distance signalling the location of this beautiful island. There is a magical trail that runs through the center of the island and you can also visit the quaintest little outhouse you ever shall see (built by some locals with permission from the islands owner)

Join one of our Chocolate Beach Kayak Tours for your own experience to this breathtaking little spot in Ganges Harbour.
