Kayaking Adventures in the Gulf Islands
Our kayaking adventures are suitable for any experience level - including the "never-been-in-a-kayak-before" level - and are fun for the whole family. Our boats are stable, comfortable, and a smooth ride.
We are committed to small group tours! Our guide to client ratio is 1:5, a standard set by the Sea Kayak Guides Alliance of BC. We also offer three levels of kayak instruction as well as equipment rentals.
Families R US
Our Seaward Passat G3 kayaks fit two and a half people! They are very stable boats, equipped with a middle hatch seat designed to carry your 4 to 9 year old special someone, who then has the important job of being "the look out" for BC wildlife. Your child will have an incredible time exploring the natural world!
- Children 4 - 6 are FREE with two adults
- Children 7 - 11 are up to 10% OFF with one adult
Safety and Equipment
Our guides are certified in Wilderness First Aid, have been trained by the Sea Kayak Guides Alliance of BC, and are well-learned nature geeks who know their stuff. All tours prices include use of life jackets, spray skirts (they keep the water out), and paddles. Our guides carry a wide array of safety equipment, including first aid kits, cell phones, VHF radios, spare clothes, and more. Your safety is our highest priority.
Free Pick-up
We offer free pick-up and drop-off on Salt Spring in our 12-seat company eco-van to:
- Groups of 6 or more on 2 - 3 hour trips
- Groups of 4 or more for Marine Park Tours
- Two or More for overnight tours
Ganges Harbour
Our two and three-hour tours are a great intro to kayaking and the Gulf Islands environment. The safe and calm waters of Ganges Harbour ensure an easy paddle, enabling you to explore the intertidal zone and get up close and personal with a Sunflower Star, discover the wonder of First Nations middens, experience the meditative, yet energizing experience that is Sea Kayaking, and have a whole lot of family fun on the water!

Marine Park Tour
Our 4-6 hour Marine Park Tours allow you to get away from it all and explore the natural wonders of the Gulf Islands. We will launch our kayaks from a quiet spot on Salt Spring that will allow us easier access to the parks and protection from the winds. 5 and 6-hour tours may include an interpretive walk at our destination, adding immensely to the overall tour experience. Wildlife sightings are common on our Marine Park Tours - look out for eagles and their nests, river otters, harbour seals, sea lions, great blue herons, mink, porpoise, and a whole host of underwater life.

Gourmet Lunch Tour
Our Gourmet Lunch Tour is a 6-hour marine park tour with lunch provided by us. The lunch menu may include:
- Salt Spring smoked salmon, cream cheese and fresh local bagels
- Local in-season fruits and veggies
- Chips and homemade Salt Spring Adventure Co. salsa
- Juice, Salt Spring Organic Coffee and tea
- Chocolate for dessert

Kayak Rentals
Our kayaks can be rented on an hourly basis all summer long. Our rental price includes your spray skirt, a paddle, PFD, paddle float and pump. Our rates are as follows:
